Rapturous! Inspirational & Interesting Photography

I was going to do a Coke machine, and then I saw these doors!

This took a while to upload as I have been busy – and accidentally deleted the photo and had to go back and take it.

I almost didn’t have to do any processing on this – the day has been dreary and there was not a lot of colour in the original.

I’m not a huge fan of soda-pop style soft drinks, but I am a fan of soda and tonic waters as mixers for drinks. This was in the fridge, so I thought it was appropriate for the day’s shot.

The background is our kitchen curtain,and you will probably notice a smudge or two on it – our cats rub up against it. I just noticed it in the enlargement! OOps.

I tried one series of shots of a vending machine, however during the day the reflection was very bad, and during the evening the light was terrible. I just couldn’t get it to work.

This morning I used the light from the kitchen window to get the high-colour, high-contrast that I think is seen here. It’s my own work, and this is what I was aiming to do with it. I hope I pulled it off.

February Challenge – RED #1

Those that can read Chinese will realise that this is upside down, however I took this photo looking down my sleeve.

This was from the outfit that I wore when I went visiting this last weekend for Chinese New Year… and I wish you all a Happy and Prosperous year of the rat!

Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Apologies for the absense, however I had a fall and ended up being on my back for 10 days. I’m getting it looked at this week, however it’s meant that the posting has taken a backseat!

OK – I’m joining this one late, however it’s time to go with the February Colour Theory Challenge from the PhotoChallenge.org blog. It’s summarised below.

I want three images a week. Not bad, no? It’s not one a day, but not one a week. Additionally, I want you to choose the same color for the whole week. Then, a new color for the following week.

For me, this week’s colour will be RED!
