The snow and the focus adds to the intimacy of this shot - like we are there sharing this moment with the girls! Lovely.
Archive for November, 2007I see flowers like this and they make me want to just smile with the joy of the colour that just seems to leap from them. Nature is awesome! Nice uncomplicated shot - the photographer’s original title was ‘Free, to good home’ - click on the image to view the original. Bright lights at night always have an interesting result with photography. I find that this photo is no exception. Taken in Ginza, Tokyo Japan. Night brings back something mystical, and sometimes scary. Night photography often captures this mystical feeling, something that is lost in the crispness of a lot of daytime photographs.
So currently my eye is on the Canon Powershot S5 IS. *insert Homer Simpson drool here*
This is a unique perspective of a split trunk, combined with good photo techniques. Love it - totally unique and elemental. The cropping and the colour effect on this picture is what makes it for me - it adds a nostalgic feel to the picture. I’m always up for a fab new tool, and this one is great, especially when you have to do a rush job - sometimes I get clients who want a banner and don’t provide me with suitable artwork, so I usually charge them for re-drawing their logos. This could be a quick-and-dirty that gives me a scalable image for emergencies… although it does only have limited scalability. Check it out at: http://vectormagic.stanford.edu Thoughts to go with the pics… I like this: Photoblog = 1000+ words. Cablecars at Genting Highlands, Malaysia. Spooky. I like the lighting on this photo. Descending into the unknown… what will you find? Hopes and dreams, or fears? |

I’m not a SLR girl - I find them cumbersome to drag around and I’m not that good a photographer. I’m more into Prosumer models - they meet my needs in terms of size (portability) and features (optical zoom, resolution and shutter/aperture tweaking).
